Homebuyers continued to sign contracts to buy homes and condominiums in Miami-Dade county at a brisk pace in November.
This amazing project will cause increase of prices in the surrounding area, also adding a different more SOBE flavor.

For me it is comforting to see an upward turn but it seems its still very delicate with all the other uncertainties. Stock Market, Economy and elections....
I love to see these articles! It gives me a little more hope in such bad times in our economy and even though if you look at the breakdown of the numbers, knowing that its more foreign money then local but ultimately creating and injecting more jobs and money locally..
Miami, FL – In Broward County sales of homes – including existing single-family homes and condominiums – decreased seven percent, from 7,403 to 6,886, in the first quarter of 2012 compared to a year earlier, according to the Broward Council of the 26,000-member MIAMI Association of REALTORS and the local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) systems.
Broward sales of existing single-family homes increased 4.4 percent in the first quarter compared to a year earlier. The sales of existing condominiums dropped a 14 percent compared to the first quarter of 2011.

With S.Florida's shrinking inventory and resizing prices
The number of residential sales, including single-family homes and condos, increased 11 percent in Miami-Dade to 2,201 in July from a year earlier.
AGAIN!!! Miami is posting rising home sale numbers in June.
Despite low levels of housing inventory in Miami, Pending sales activity continues to be an indicator of strong future sales.

Despite mounting pressure from the Obama administration and lawmakers,
the FHFA announced it will not allow Fannie and Freddie to lower the
mortgage principal of underwater home owners. Its decision quickly drew
criticism.
1) Prepare a plan of action to ensure that everyone knows what to do.
2) Hurricane Kits should be refreshed with non-perishable foods and bottled water. Check batteries in clocks, flashlights, and radios. Check first aid kits. Keep photo identification, important documents, medication, and additional cash handy, wrapped in zip-lock plastic bags. Don't forget toiletries, mosquito repellent and a manual can opener.
4) OWNERS not in residence should make arrangements with a designated person(s) to remove all furniture and plants from balconies, close storm shutters, and transport automobiles to a secure location inland.

6) A Hurricane Warning is issued when hurricane conditions are expected within 24 hours. Prepare to evacuate if your home is located in a mandatory evacuation of flood zone.
7) When an evacuation order is issued by OEM for your area with 35-40 mph sustained winds, Police Departments and all emergency services may also evacuate at that time: therefore, emergency services would not be available.
8) Elevators are typically taken out of service in condominiums and high-rise buildings. They are usually locked off on higher floor because of possible storm surges.
9) Condominium Employees will not be available after an evacuation order is received for your area. Remember, employees need to also secure their own homes and properties.
10) After the hurricane - Listen to radio and TV broadcasts or NOAA weather radio reports for information on when it is safe to return to your respective area. Emergency telephone numbers are attached.
